IMPORTANT: Commission Schedule 1-999 sales = 40% | 1,000-4,999 sales = 60% | > 4,999 sales = 80%

Step 2: Affiliate HopLink Instructions

affiliate_guideOnce you have signed up at ClickBank for an affiliate account (it’s free, just go back to Step 1 to see the ClickBank Sign Up Instructions), then you are ready to start promoting and marketing the digital products.

Marketing Tactical Workouts digital products is simple. All you do is put special links on your webpages or in your newsletters to send traffic to the Tactical Workouts website. These links are called “ClickBank HopLinks” and they are important because this is how ClickBank keeps track of the traffic you send to the Tactical Workouts website and gives you credit for the digital book sales you generate.

So the very first step after you have signed up for your ClickBank account is to understand how to make a HopLink. Make sure that you follow these instructions very carefully.

Important: YOU are responsible to make sure your HopLinks are coded correctly.

Follow these simple instructions to create your HopLink

The current standard ClickBank HopLink format is:

http://XXXXX.VENDOR.hop.Clickbank.net

TACTICALX is the vendor (product) name, so that looks like this:

http://XXXXX.TACTICALX.hop.Clickbank.net

So now, all you have to do is insert YOUR ClickBank affiliate nickname in the place where the XXXXX is located.

For example, if your affiliate nickname is TREY123 (note: use YOUR nickname, this is just an example), then the HopLink would look like this:

http://TREY123.TACTICALX.hop.Clickbank.net

That’s all there is to it.

When someone clicks through YOUR HopLink, they are redirected to www.TacticalWorkouts.com and a “cookie” (a small tracking file) is dropped onto the computer of the visitor. This “marks” that visitor as coming from your referral.

ClickBank uses 60-day cookies, so that means if the people you send to TacticalWorkouts.com purchase that day, or if they return any time within the next 60 days, you will get the commission for the sale (currently 40% commission rate of the sale).

Testing Your HopLink

After you've created your first HopLink, it's important to test it to make sure you'll receive commissions for sales you promote.

To test your HopLink to make sure it's working correctly, you can either enter your HopLink directly into your browser's address bar and hit Enter, or click on your HopLink directly if you've already posted it somewhere online. Once you're on the vendor's website, click their Buy Now button so you're taken to the ClickBank order form. If you scroll to the bottom of the order form, you should see [affiliate=yournickname].

One last suggestion. If you are using HopLinks on a web page, it is best you use a “DISPLAY URL” of www.TacticalWorkouts.com rather than exposing the actual ClickBank HopLink.

Tests show that when people realize they are “being sold something” on a commission basis (as opposed to simply getting a “recommendation” from an independent third party), the conversion rates may drop, therefore it’s best to “hide” your affiliate HopLink in your HTML code and use www.TacticalWorkouts.com as the display link.

Some advanced internet marketers even use “link cloaking” or “affiliate redirects” for this reason. If you’re interested in using “affiliate redirects” in your Affiliate URL, click HERE to learn how.

Another option is to send traffic to these Alternate Landing Pages, which allow your readers to check out an Interrogation Interview, go directly to a sales page, or claim a free workout. And, of course, you will earn a commission when your readers order through your alternate-landing-page affiliate link.
